The L.A. Family

Larger than Life — L.A. Family was founded in 2003 by members of the Los Angeles community. Larger than Life — L.A. Family is a Los Angeles-based 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization that strives to raise funds for its own projects in the United States (principally the West Coast Dream Trip) and to donate funds directly to promote and support projects which include:

■ Providing financial support for medications/medical procedures that are not covered by Health Insurance.

■ Working with hospitals to improve the atmosphere in the wards where children receive often painful and prolonged cancer treatments.

■ Strengthening and uniting families through mentoring, community-building and family-focused “getaways”.

■ Creating activity programs for children undergoing treatment.

■ Performing outreach to increase community awareness and involvement in the effort to improve the lives of children with cancer.
